We remember and acknowledge that we are on land of the Coast Salish Peoples whose land and resources were involuntarily ceded.

They have protected and stewarded this land, water and nature for thousands of years.

We take a moment to acknowledge this truth to prevent further erasure of Indigenous people, culture and wisdom from these lands.

Today, understanding how settler colonialism has destroyed people, culture and the environment is important for the survival of all of us and Mother Earth.
